YOUNG AND ELDER SCOUTS SAY: YOU’RE NOT ALONE!

Greek Scouts –kids and adults- along with Greek and Japanese SWY graduates have joined forces and spread their positive attitude by sending a message of optimism in these difficult days experienced by the Japanese people.

Specifically, on Friday, March 25th two Japanese graduates of SWY.22, Kazuto Mahboob Matsuda and Megumi Sekiguchi attended a gathering event of the 2nd Scout Troop of Papagos / Athens, where they had the opportunity to play, sing and craft traditional Japanese origami along with the scouts as well as inform both children and their parents about the situation in their homeland these recent days. The cub scouts (children between 7-11 y.o.) wrote messages of sympathy and painted optimistic drawings, which were given to the two young Japanese and will be posted at schools in Tokyo.

At the same time, in this same venue a fundraising took place in order families in need are helped; the amount raised will be attributed to the International Youth Organization of Japan along with other amounts raised by the SWY Greece AA from other fundraising events.
